When it comes to metal fabrication, we have a wide-range of CAPABILITIES As the manufacturing arm of the Bempro Global Group Inc., BMP Metals is positioned to offer great diversity in production capability. Specializing in machined and fabricated sheet metal manufacturing, BMP can produce prototype and high volume part runs in a wide range of part sizes. With two manufacturing plants, and a combined production space of 118,000 sq.ft. BMP is equipped with state of the art automated machinery in every process from punching to painting. Design & Engineering Our Engineering team specializes in the DFMA (Design for Manufacturability and Assembly) process for the mutual benefit of our customer and BMP. This means cost-savings, shorter lead-time, timely accurate transfer of information, and improved quality through assembly simplification. Customer FTP site access Shared information (EDI) transfer Welding Evaluation / Engineering Mechanical Engineering Full CAD design/layout Laser BMP Metals has two laser equipped cutting machines. The Finn-Power LPe has both punching and laser capabilities. The Prima Domino has only laser capabilities but has a 5th axis for part turning on materials such as tube or other 3D shapes. These fully automated systems provide fast, flexible production to meet large volume requirements with soft tooling; effectively providing hard tooling pricing without the tooling costs! Punching With numerous laser/punch machines and a a 5-axis laser cutter, parts can be fabricated with requirements up to: 22 to 50 ton punch capacity 60x120 sheet size 4000 watt laser capacity BMP's extensive investment in soft tooling ensures quick turnaround for new product prototyping with short lead time order requirements. Forming Equipped with numerous press brakes, parts can be fabricated with the following requirements: 14 foot 25 to 185 ton A Motoman robot combined with a press brake or our EBe 5 CNC Panel Bender makes short work of long production runs. Welding Certified to CWB standard W47.1 & W47.2, BMP's welding group capabilities include: MIG/MAG (GMAW) TIG (GTAW) Fluxcore (FCAW) Brazing Oxy-acetylene Spot welding Our new welding robot makes short work of long production runs. Our certified welders have a wealth of experience on conventional and robotic equipment to suit a wide variety of materials and alloys. MIG, TIG, ARC, OXY/Acc., processes of aluminum, steel and stainless are all common to BMP. We are capable of welding any sheet, plate, bar and shape. BMP’s skilled welder fitters are committed to manufacturing your products to your exact specifications. Machining From small vertical mills to large boring mills, and with the addition of 4-axis, 4 pallet machines, BMP is capable of a wide range of machining capacities. BMP's machining department is positioned to support all the needs of our customers from prototyping through production volumes. Our machining division showcases a full variety of multi pallet vertical and horizontal machining centers. Full turning capabilities are complemented by automated Swiss Style live tooling, turning and milling. Painting BMP’s paint coating facility showcases a state of the art, fully computerized multi-line, and multi-speed, conveyor paint system complete with dedicated production lines for the five stage iron phosphate wash, paint application, and bake phases. Coating capabilities also include multiple clean rooms and bake ovens. From air dry to baked enamels to powder epoxies, we can satisfy your most critical and esthetic, coating requirements. Part marking and graphics on a variety of materials and substrates can be achieved on site with equipment for automated silk-screening, hot stamping, pad stamping and bar code label printing. • Powder Paint • Wet Paint • Electrostatic wet & dry paint Specialized Inspection: • X-Rite Photo-spectrometer • Novo Gloss Meter • Paint Thickness Gauge 3D Plastic Printing From rapid prototyping to medical modelling and manufacturing, our 3D printers use revolutionary FDM and PolyJet technology to make whatever you need, quickly and efficiently. FDM technology works with engineering-grade thermoplastics to build strong, long-lasting and dimensionally stable parts with the best accuracy and repeatability of any 3D Printing technology. Electric Assembly BMP Metals is fully equipped to handle your electronic and electrical product needs, from initial design concept through to final turnkey assembled solution. Assembly To facilitate part assemblies, BMP has mechanical, electrical and plumbing assembly experience and capabilities. Assembly departments are equipped to handle all of your small and large assembly needs from single units to trailer loads. Our full staff of experienced and dedicated workers can assemble even the most complex components. All packaging is to meet customer specifications for environmental and ergonomic measures. OBJECTIVES BMP incorporates numerous process checks to verify all requirements of the customer, such as sequence inspections; but can also incorporate a more detailed documented verification should the customer require it. SPECIAL EQUIPMENT For more complicated verification of dimensional requirements such as GD&T or volumetric scans, the Quality department uses a FARO arm probe and laser scanner to gather data. MONITORING As part of standard in process inspection of work instruction sequences, the Quality department inspects critical dimensions to ensure that production is progressing according to plan. BMP is equipped with all standard equipment such as digital gauges, shadow graph and Mitutoyo CMM. QUALITY AND STRENGTH IN DESIGN & ENGINEERING With a SolidWorks native work environment, seats of ProEngineer, AutoCad, CadKey and a secure FTP web server, our in-house engineering department is capable of processing a wide variety of job formats. Here's what makes our team of engineers such a great value-added service to our customers; DESIGN With several professional engineers combining for over 25 years of production experience, the engineering design department is capable of taking your initial idea and turning it into a manufacturable product. METHODS To ensure successful manufacturing, our engineering department will: Define the process, equipment & jigs. Establish the workflow & layout of workstations. Improve the processes by eliminating waste or improving piece rate. Develop detailed manufacturing documentation. STRENGTH ANALYSIS To facilitate customer design requirements, the engineering department is capable of running Finite Element Analysis (FEA) of piece parts or assemblies.
